Granny's Rosy Glasses
Dear little granny with her charming way!
How very often have I heard her say
About some person I had frowned upon,
"My darling, put your rosy glasses on."
There was the morning when she met my John.
(Of course I did not have my glasses on.)
She looked at him and gave a little cough;
With twinkling eyes, she spoke, "Do take them off."
He won her too, and now she worships him;
She gratifies his every little whim;
And laughingly she says, "Your homely John
Is handsome, Now I have my glasses on."
